June 2005 Linda Reynolds (UK)"Linda Reynolds worked as an information scientist in publishing for two years, before joining the Graphic Information Research Unit at the Royal College of Art in 1973. Initially as a research assistant, and finally as Senior Research Fellow, she worked on a range of projects relating to the legibility of printed documents, microforms, screen displays and signage. These studies were mainly funded by the British Library and were concerned with issues such as choice of typeface, type image quality, use of colour, effects of background patterns and tones, effects of show-through in printed materials, and so on."
